YGP-6234 # Helmholtz Coil Experiment
Summary
Helmholtz coils are a pair of parallel and connected coaxial circular coils, with the currents in the two coils in the same direction and magnitude. When the distance d between the coils is exactly equal to the radius R of the circular coil, this circular current-carrying coil is called a Helmholtz coil. The characteristic of this coil is that it can generate a wide uniform magnetic field near the midpoint of its common axis. Therefore, it has great practical value in production and scientific research, and is also often used as a measurement standard for weak magnetic fields.
Experiments
- Single coil magnetic field distribution measurement along the axis.
- Helmholtz coil magnetic field distribution measurement along the axis, learn the characteristics of Helmholtz coil generating uniform magnetic field.
