LASER & LED Measurement
LASER & LED Measurement
With the improvement of laser fabrication process and the reduction of cost, lasers have been widely used in many technical fields such as fiber optic communication, measurement technology, medical treatment, and bioengineering, where users are increasingly concerned about the performance indexes of lasers. The central wavelength, half-height width and power magnitude of the laser are important performance indicators. Since the laser emitted by a semiconductor laser has a certain divergence angle, we use an integrating sphere combined with a spectrometer and a power meter to measure it. Due to the unique geometry of the integrating sphere, the laser forms a uniform light intensity distribution after multiple diffuse reflections in the integrating sphere, while the measurement of the laser beam power is not affected by the laser beam polarization and calibration.
LED has become the main light source in the current lighting field due to its energy saving, environmental protection, high efficiency and long life, and is also increasingly used in many technical fields such as industrial measurement and medical biology. In the LED packaging production process, or the finished product quality inspection process, the LED light color characteristics put forward more stringent requirements, need to measure the LED peak wavelength, center wavelength, half-peak width, power, color temperature and color coordinates and other parameters. We use the integrating sphere spectral measurement technology and use a calibrated halogen light source for absolute radiation calibration of the whole set. The complete set is compact and a SDK is available for easy fixed integration into other systems.
