Gas Discharge

The principle of YLS-8302 series light source is gas discharge light-emitting.   Generally, gas discharge light sources can be divided into three types: low-voltage discharge, high-voltage discharge, and ultra-high-voltage discharge.   In terms of gas types, usually, you can find are mercury light sources, xenon light sources, and sodium light sources.

A Mercury lamp is a light bulb that uses the hot mercury vapor in the lamp tube to emit light. Mercury lamps emit a discontinuous spectrum of light with distinct characteristic wavelengths. In its spectrum, the red area is lacking, and the green/blue area and ultraviolet area spectrum are strong, so it is not suitable for photography and is mostly used for lighting.   Its characteristic wavelength is often used as a monochromatic light after being filtered out.

Pulsed xenon light source, as a new type of light source integrating xenon lamp bulb, trigger, and high voltage power supply, is widely used as a standard in industrial online systems.   YLS-8302-01 series is a pulsed xenon light source with a wide spectral range and good stability.   The wavelength range is wide, covering 185-2000nm. It has a long life and flashes more than 100 million times.   Good stability, the CV value of 1000 flashes is less than or equal to 2%.   While ensuring the compact size, it can also strictly control the heat generation, so that it can be easily and stably integrated into the industrial online system.
